NciteIO, LLC operates NciteMe. This notice explains how we handle personal information for account holders, visitors to NciteMe pages, and people contacting us. A profile owner may separately collect and use information through their page. Their notice, not this one, covers their own activities.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, such as your name, email, login information, profile content, uploaded images, links, form and survey answers, booking requests, support messages, and billing details. Payment card data is handled by Stripe, not stored as a full card number by NciteMe. Public profile content can include a name, image, location text, phone number, and social links if you put them on the page. We also receive technical and use information such as IP address, device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP, referring page, page views, link clicks, QR visits, timestamps, and diagnostics. Where an IP address is stored for analytics or abuse prevention, we hash it. Integrations supply information only when you authorize them.
How we use information
We use information to provide the Service, authenticate accounts, display public pages, process subscriptions, provide analytics, deliver messages you request, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate reports, maintain security, answer requests, and comply with legal obligations. Where permitted, we may send product or marketing email with a way to opt out. We may use aggregate or de-identified statistics that do not identify individuals. We do not sell a visitor’s submitted contact details to anyone other than the profile owner of the form they chose to submit.
Profile owner submissions
When you fill out a profile owner’s signup, booking, survey, contact, or similar block, that submission is made available to that owner. The owner decides how to use it and must provide an appropriate notice and honor applicable requests. NciteMe processes the submission to operate the feature and for security and compliance. Before you submit, check who operates the page.
Sharing
We share information with service providers for hosting, email delivery, payments (Stripe), security, and support; with profile owners for visitor submissions made to them; with integrations you choose; where required by valid legal process; to protect people and the Service; and as part of a business transaction, with safeguards. Public profile information is visible to anyone and may be indexed or copied. A destination site can receive ordinary technical details when a visitor clicks a link. We do not promise that third-party destinations follow this notice.
Cookies and choices
We use essential storage for sign-in, security, and core features. Public pages and links also record first-party analytics such as device type, browser, approximate location from IP, referrer, and UTM parameters. If analytics or advertising tags are enabled on the marketing site, nonessential tags run only after the on-site consent choice allows them. You can refuse those tags, use browser controls, and unsubscribe from marketing email. Turning off storage can limit sign-in and other features.
Retention and security
We keep personal information while the account is active and for a limited period afterward when needed for security, abuse prevention, backups, or legal obligations. We do not publish a day-count schedule on this page. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No system is completely secure. Deleted content may remain temporarily in backups or where the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your information, opt out of certain processing, or withdraw consent where consent applies. Signed-in account holders can send those requests through Support. We may verify identity before responding. We do not discriminate for exercising applicable rights. For a submission controlled by a profile owner, you may also need to contact that owner. We will assist where the law requires it.
International use and children
Information may be processed in the United States, where we operate the Service, and by the service providers we use to run it. Accounts are for adults 18 or older. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact Support. Visitors should not submit a child’s information through a profile unless they have a lawful basis to do so.
Changes and contact
We may revise this notice. The current version appears here with its update date. Material changes will be posted on this page. Contact NciteIO, LLC through Support.
